The Snow Ranch consists of approximately 3,010 deeded acres of which approximately 480 acres are in San Luis Obispo County and approximately 2,530 acres are in Santa Barbara County. The ranch is located in the westerly part of the Cuyama Valley, along the south side of State Highway 166, approximately 36 miles east of Santa Maria and U.S. Highway 101.The Cuyama River, the boundary between Santa Barbara County and San Luis Obispo County, meanders through the ranch parallel to Highway 166 for over two and a half miles. The terrain varies from level on the valley floor along the river and the highway, to low rolling hills south of the river. Powell Canyon, a beautiful broad valley on the western portion of the ranch, runs southerly from the headquarters.
