Clark Company began as a stage and cattle
company in Ventura County in the 1890's. Five generations later, we
now specialize in ranch sales and land management in the western
United States while also maintaining and operating our own family
ranches.

Peter G. Clark attended California
Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, majoring in
Agricultural Business Management during the years 1975-1979. He
received his State of California Real Estate License, joining his
grandfather, William P. Clark, Sr., at Clark Land Company in 1979.
Pete is Corporate President and Real Estate Broker licensed in the
states of California and Nevada, directing the real property
operations for Clark Company, a family-held California
corporation. In addition to real estate brokerage, he oversees and
manages numerous ranches, including the Clark Family ranches in
San Luis Obispo County.
A fifth
generation Californian, Pete grew up ranching and competing in
rodeos and team roping. He has won several All Around Cowboy
Awards and continues to actively compete in team roping. Pete is a
member of the PRCA and USTRC. One of the highlights of his roping
career was being invited to compete in the PRCA Presidential Rodeo
in Washington, D.C., in 1983. In 1999, he won the Team Penning
Championship at the California Rodeo at Salinas, one of the oldest
and most prestigious rodeos in the United States.
Pete is a former member and past President of the California
Mid-State Fair Board actively promoting the fields of ranching,
agriculture and rodeo. He is a member of the National Cattlemen’s
Association, State Director of the California Cattlemen’s
Association and member of the Livestock Identification Committee,
Director and past President of the San Luis Obispo County
Cattlemen’s Association, Director and President of the San Luis
Obispo Cattlemen Political Action Committee, member of California
Farm Bureau and past Director of the Paso Robles Chamber of
Commerce. Additionally, he is a fourth generation member of
Rancheros Visitadores, former member of the Executive Committee,
Director and past President of Los Adobes de Los Rancheros, and
member of El Viaje de Portola. Pete was recently awarded the 2009
San Luis Obispo County Cattleman of the Year award for his service
to both the local and state cattle industries.
Pete is also co-founder of the San Luis Obispo County Meadow
Muffin Golf Classic, an annual golf tournament benefiting several
local charities and the Greater Paso Robles Children’s Christmas
Toy Bank.
